*Breaching*
Jan. 7th, 2010 11:49 pm Goodness me - we're well in to completing a 36 page application to the State for a new health care project.
I am not lying when I say that in the end, this application will come in at about 5000 pages of information.
Bollocks if anyone is going to read it all.
I think the positions will be awarded on *weight*; I suspect ours will be between 25 and 35 pounds of paper.
Yes, that is insane.
Yes, I am going mad being locked in a room filling it out.
One Bright Point: passive-aggressive "team member" who reacted to ' you haven't given that to me' with snorts and deeply defensive claims of 'of course I did' delivered in tone of you are 6 has been sent right up the creek for her BS as of today. I cheered quietly.
Seriously - we will submit between 1,500 and 2,500 pages in the end. It's brutal - all i do is this & sleep. I was going to work the other day (another 14 hour day) and as I was in the garage preparing to leave, I heard Sebastien start to cry above me in the bedroom. Which set me off - I ran upstairs and gave him a long hug: he's an old poop and his routine is so screwed by all this I am seriously considering sending him to doggy Day Care until we are done. I get us so early he refuses to go out and 'get busy': I had to drag him down the stairs the other day, and he baulked at the door with a "It;s FAR TO FOGGY AND DARK AND WET FOR ME TO GO OUT" attitude. Seriously - how does one force an eight year old passive-aggressive breed to pee on command? He stood on the freezing brick of the patio and looked at me with a massive FU! expression (through half cast sleepy eyes). Have stocked up on Natures Miracle and patience.
Am focused on living through next saturday: Nico and I are going to his first hockey game! This was Auntie's Xmas present -we are v. excited.
Sebi is curled at my feet - and he has just cut a massive cheese. Seriously, I think it needs a postal code. I think this sums up the week perfectly.
